An RFP writer turns a solicitation’s requirements into a clear, organized response. The work typically includes reviewing instructions and evaluation criteria, building a proposal outline and production schedule, developing persuasive narratives, coordinating subject-matter input, and checking that required forms and attachments are complete. For federal opportunities, a strong RFP writer also helps align the response with agency mission, program goals, and stated priorities.
